Boujaad Rugs
Boujaad rugs are hand-knotted with soft sheep wool bleached in natural dyes by the Boujaad tribe artisan women in the snowtopped Atlas Mountains in Morocco, using traditional techniques that have spanned over centuries. Its distinctiveness comes from the rich colours of red, fuchsia, purple, orange and brown hues with asymmetrical geometric motifs and symbols that represents themes such as fertility, marriage, spirituality and rural family life.
