Azilal Rugs

Azilal rugs are handwoven with 100% natural virgin sheep wool by rural artisan women in the steep Azilal region in the high Atlas Mountains in Morocco, using traditional techniques that have spanned over centuries. Each piece is unique and tells a story of the artisans expressed in ancient symbols and colours inspired by daily tribal life such as birth, fertility, family, marriage and farming.
